The 健康与人类表现 emphasis is designed for students who are interested in pursuing a career in Kinesiology with an 理解ing of related 研究.   • BIO 246: Human Anatomy 和 Physiology I

First of a two-semester sequence in human anatomy 和 physiology. Topics include the structure 和 function of cells, 组织, 还有肠膜, 骨骼, 肌肉发达的, 神经系统. This course will give an overview of significant behavioral theories which influence 和 determine the learning 和 production of motor skills. Included will be learning theories 和 motor control theories as well as application of theory to motor performance.

This course will explore issues pertinent to the study of health 和 nutrition for the active individual. Students will also examine 和 discuss key concepts concerning the role of nutrition in overall health 和 well-being for a healthy lifestyle.

This course is will explore the latest evidence-based 研究 on the effects of aging 和 will familiarize students with the 生理 impacts of aging as it relates to the decline in physical development, 心血管 和 pulmonary functioning, 和 肌肉发达的 strength 和 power. This course will also introduce the effects of declining motor skills as well as other physical-psycho社会 relationships associated with aging.

This course will explore the effects of 体育活动 on chronic disease prevention 和 health promotion throughout the life span, from clinical 和 public health perspectives.
